General Introduction

The Battery Load Bank is a special instrument designed for testing NiCD and Lead-acid storage battery strings with overall string voltages of 24V, 48V, 110V, and 220V in communication rooms, and individual cell voltages of 1.2V, 2V, 6V, and 12V. Adopting advanced testing technology, it incorporates breakthrough applications of new techniques, materials, and components. Engineered in compliance with national regulations for stationary battery maintenance, it features large discharge power, compact volume, light weight, and a complete data management software suite for the upper computer to significantly reduce daily maintenance workloads.

Main Functions and Features

  • Utilizes a high-brightness color touch screen that can be operated easily via finger or touch pen.
  • Dual data save modes: Internal saving and external saving via SD Card.
  • Enhanced overvoltage protection function.
  • Automatically recovering overcurrent protection function.
  • Advanced overheating protection.

On-line Monitoring Function:

When the battery string undergoes on-line discharge, uniform charge, or floating charge, the instrument performs real-time monitoring of the string and individual cells. Tracked parameters include whole string voltage, cell voltage, charge/discharge current, string charge/discharge capacity, and cumulative monitoring time.

Discharge Function:

Performs constant current discharge using an intellectualized dummy load after the battery string is isolated from the system. Users can set parameters including discharge current, discharge time, discharge capacity, final protective voltage of the whole string, and final protective voltage of individual cells. The tester displays real-time discharge parameters and will automatically stop testing when setup thresholds are met, or when manual termination is triggered.

  • Saves up to 10 groups of on-line monitoring data and 10 groups of discharge test data for query, deletion, or SD card export.
  • Connects to computers via a serial port for real-time monitoring, test control, and graphic analysis.

Automatic Protection Function:

The tester automatically terminates the test when abnormalities in the battery string, individual cells, or the tester's internal systems are detected, ensuring complete safety during the testing process. The integrated design combines the monitoring and power sections, utilizing high-efficiency components to deliver a compact yet powerful testing system.

Test Procedures

On-Line Monitoring Test Procedure

  • 1 First Step: Connect the cell voltage monitoring module.
  • 2 Second Step: Connect the group voltage test line to the two poles of the battery string.
  • 3 Third Step: Plug in and switch on the tester.
  • 4 Fourth Step: Enter the on-line monitoring configuration setup.
  • 5 Fifth Step: Press "OK" to start the test.

Discharge Test Procedure

  • 1 Step 1: Connect the cell voltage monitoring module.
  • 2 Step 2: Pull the discharge switch to "On" to prevent reverse connection of the discharge cable (built-in warning system triggers in case of misconnection).
  • 3 Step 3: Connect the discharge cable to the host machine and battery bank respectively (Red cable: Positive (+); Black cable: Negative (-)).
  • 4 Step 4: Connect the group voltage test line to the two poles of the battery string.
  • 5 Step 5: Plug in and switch on the tester.
  • 6 Step 6: Configure the discharge test parameters.
  • 7 Step 7: Pull the discharge switch to "Off".
  • 8 Step 8: Press "OK" to start the test.
